Spring Fever is here !
March 19, 2009
Hello again everyone !
I hope you are all enjoying getting ready for Spring.
We have been.
My lilacs are getting ready to burst into bloom and I can't wait because I have a waiting list for my lilac soap and this year, i want to try my hand at a lilac perfume with them too. I will take a ton of blossoms to infuse into my oils to capture the scent, but it will be worth it.
I also see my crocus is up and many other flowers and herbs are starting to peek their heads out of the dirt now.
This is going to be a very busy year for me.
I was invited to appear at a fundraiser for our local botanical garden - Fellow's Riverside Garden at Mill Creek Park in Youngstown, Ohio and they asked me to bring lots of my products too.
The person in charge said that their focus this year is on natural health and wellness so she wanted my products to be showcased for the hundreds of patrons to have access to.
The event is called Girls Night Out and it is at the end of May.
I am so busy trying...

More products listed and a little more info about my methods...
November 19, 2008
It seems the little glitch preventing me from list on monday has been resolved.
I was able to add several more of hand-sewn products that I make using real herbs and flowers inside.
I have also added some more all natural goat milk soaps, and perfumes too.
I make my own infused oils to get the scent for my perfumes and soaps. I do use essential oils too when needed. I use my own flowers - I dry them and then infuse them into expellor pressed (NOT solvent extracted) safflower oil. This way, I get to have lilac scent products among other scents that are all natural. Lilac (as well as jasmine...) does not give up its essential oils in the conventional manner. and I will NOT use a fragrance oil/absolute/concrete... as these are either all fake - or - as in the case of absolutes and concretes - the scent is real, but the method of extraction is using hexane or some other chemical that I want to avoid. This is why I make all-natural products - so I can AVOID using most chemicals in my life.
It takes anywhere from 4 weeks to 4-5 months (if not more) to...

Natural ingredients... in your body care products... - or not ???
April 24, 2007
Here's a Great Site to make sure your products are made from natural ingredients...
I was talking to a friend/customer today about all the toxic products that most people use on a daily basis. It really is scary to hear about what is in most of the products on the market. You even have to watch most of the "Handmade" products. Many of the folks who make them use fragrance oils and artificial colors... . I refuse to use these fake and possibly harmful ingredients in the bath & body products that I make. I wont even use them in the neck-pillows, eye-pillows, and sachets that I make.
Please check your products before you use them again.
This site allows you to search for safe and unsafe products/companies and ingredients.
